China imports more Italian machinery

Records show that China imported more tanning and shoemaking machinery from Italy than in previous years. Its Italian machinery imports for the year totalled $29.7 million, accounting for 55.3% of its total tanning and shoemaking machinery imports.

 

According to the Italian tanning machinery manufacturers' association, ASSOMAC, China is now Italy’s largest export market from shoemaking machinery. It claims around 20 machinery companies have started exporting to China in the recent past in order to take advantage of growing opportunities there.
