Finish formulations containing EUDERM® Resin 50 B should preferably be pigmented with EUKANOL® or EUDERM® colors. If other color pastes, including casein pigments, have to be used, tests must be carried out to check that they are compatible with butadiene resins.

 
EUDERM® Resin 50 B is harder and less resistant to low temperatures than EUDERM® Resin 40 B and gives firmer leather with a somewhat coarser grain pattern after dry-drumming. How-ever, EUDERM® Resin 50 B has slightly better embossing properties, through-rub fastness, scuff resistance and flex resistance than EUDERM® Resin 40 B. The film hardness and finish-ing properties can be varied by combining the two resins.

 
EUDERM® Resin 50 B and EUDERM® Resin 40 B can be crosslinked with EUDERM® Paste RA 01 and EUKANOL® Paste FA.
