Leather Technicians visited the GDS in Düsseldorf

What did they recognize?

 

At the first GDS of the year, the shoe industry presented its collections for Autumn / Winter 2008/2009. The new season's shoe fashions will be characterized by the almost one way color direction, this colors are a lot of Black and Brown and a little of  Violet (mostly velour).

 
Pull up leathers were not yet seen to a large extend, but a lot of collections showed an increased volume of patent leather considering that we are talking about a winter collection.

 

In the men's footwear sector the majority of shoes were styled with standard types: smooth, semi-glossy and a lot of full grain nappa leather, a little velour was also present. The colors used were a lot of blacks and browns from light to dark, patent leather shoes were also present in the color black.

 

Turning to ladies' shoes, around 70% of the upper material is full grain leather materials. The color range dominated from black, violet and a little silver and gold laminated articles. Full grain black nappa leather is also in the woman collection article number one.
