Product of the month December 2007: LEVOTANŽ XPS
LEVOTAN® XPS is a lightfast, heat resistant and filling polymer retanning material with pronounced softening and waterproofing properties. The product is particularly suitable as an aftertreatment. The use in polymer and fatliquor mixtures, as well as with waterproofing agents for soft, mainly dry-drummed types of leather is recommended. This is applied in the production of soft leather types like softy upper, furniture upholstery, soft split and soft waterproof leather.
LEVOTAN® XPS imparts a slight waterrepellent effect to the crust and this therefore results in a reduced water absorption which helps keep leather soft even after finishing.
