Trends Autumn/Winter 2009/10
Interior reflexes
Winter landscape – the desire for warmth and security. The wish to get out of the cold and snuggle up in a cozy “interior” from where you can look out at the wintry scene, see the snow glittering in the last rays of the sun – and feel happy.
The materials match the mood – natural articles with a slight brilliance.
The colors are warm and subdued – earthy shades are combined with grays.
Metropolitan reflexes
Winter in the city – the changing of the seasons goes virtually unnoticed here. The pale winter sun is refracted in the windows of the houses, giving the impression of more light and brightening the days.
The materials are soft and supple, but at the same time stand up to rain and snow and offer protection. The colors are in keeping with the season – dark shades such as blue, petrol and gray are “en vogue”.
Natural reflexes
Tranquillity – nature seems to be at peace with itself and is preparing for the winter. There is nothing to distract the eye – movement in nature leads to new energy. Thoughts can flow freely.
The materials reflect the special characteristics of the season, are natural and simultaneously water-repellent and protective. The strong colors of the summer have given way to paler, more neutral shades.
Future reflexes
Looking from the past into the future. There is a longing for change, a desire to escape the winter. It is time for new discoveries and developments. Striding forward instead of dwelling in the dark.
Modern materials and new technologies characterize this trend. The emphasis is on ecological articles on an aqueous basis. The colors are pale and subdued and teamed with natural shades.
