The Efficient Mould Process with LEVACAST®

A surface that is indistinguishable from top-quality natural leather is no problem with silicone moulds.

Just take any leather you like, apply liquid silicone and let it cure. In this way, you can make as many copies as you like from the same leather. First spray an aqueous PU dispersion on to the release surface and allow to dry.

Then apply LEVACAST®-Adduct and LEVACAST®-Hardener using a two-component mixing and spraying head.

Immediately afterwards, place the split in the PU film and allow to dry. Shortly afterwards, strip the coated leather from the mould. The mould can then be used again. LANXESS holds numerous patents for this process which you as our customer can use - free of charge!
